“The principal aim of religious education is to explore what people believe and what difference this makes to how they live, so that pupils can gain the knowledge, understanding and skills needed to handle questions raised by religion and belief, reflecting on their own ideas and ways of living.”

Shropshire Agreed Syllabus 2021–2026

Here at St Andrew’s CE Primary School we believe that our ambitious RE curriculum will serve to create a responsible and respectful community of children. We use RE to help children to develop their understanding of the world and how to live in it, giving children opportunities to explore and respond to some of the big questions addressed by religious and non-religious traditions and culture.

We will explore what it means to be a good human and a good Christian as we build on our understanding of Christianity. We will also explore religion in a local, global and national context, fostering a deeper understanding of other world religions and beliefs.
